JB Conversions - 231 Early Design

SYE Kit

Chain sprocket with bearings

Although any kit can be made to work well in any 231 transfer case application, we have generally suggested that on a 1994 and older application, that the Genuine JB Conversion, Early Design, would be the best choice. This is only because you would not have to extend the effort to remove the bearings which are in the synchronizer hub assembly/chain sprocket.

In a 1995 and newer application, the Advance Adapters or the Tera-flex Standard kit conversion may be the best choice. This is because of the difference in the main shaft in the area where it goes through the synchronizer hub assembly or chain sprocket. When using the JB Conversions (early design kit) in a 1995 or newer application, these bearings will have to be installed into the synchronizer hub assembly/chain sprocket.

Prices begin at $520 and includes a custom Constant Velocity (CV), Double Cardan Drive shaft.
